Hay Guys
We been on this server for a while now and I'm sure all of us have had a chance to get to know a few trusted people outside the guild even if it's only 1 person. :P
So My suggestion is 1 night instead of kara have a test Grull run wih the 20 or so people we have in the guild who seam to magicly appear :shock: and fill the last 5 spots with our required balance from the people we know outside the guild.
If this turns out to be a case of simply undergeared :shock: then we can learn from that so to be better prepaired next time and whats more plan to get the required items for the Tanks (The poor buggers taken damage) so next time we go we should be able to make some sucess. 8)
Come on guys we did this for ZG and made some pretty hard core mates outside the guild. :D

good idea est. i think i said something similar in one of my posts. if we take 20 of IV who are geared, and either pug, or invite ppl we know are good, we have a real chance at downing Gruuls, and also a chance to invite more ppl to our guild.

This sunday i was thinking of messing round in ZA with our geared peeps, but we could just as easily swap that to Gruul's

I'm all up for it, however are we not jumping the gun a bit when we're trying to get 2 kara's going this week? I think we should see if this 2 Kara run works and then see how many people are keen for what. It is important to remember that we dont have 25 geared people. We have 15 semi geared and others getting there. My only conern is we are getting a little ahead of ourselves. I personally would like to see us get this week sorted out and if this is plausible we could hit gruuls.
As it stands we have 1 MT tree. We have bash, but he is semi geared. We have Alec who has yet to tank the major bosses, such as prince, and a newbie tank in Tyton who is pretty well geared but there's a little more to tanking than just having a geared toon in a 25 man raid. Tyton will eb a great tank, but let hi learn the ropes a bit before you put 25 peoples repair bills stacked on the back of his learning curve. We also have bubble who is partially geared and gay. We gotta make sure that those in the firing line are suitably bullet proof to make it worth while. A raid can survive with mixed DPS, a raid cant survive with suspect tanks. Additionally not all our healers are well geared. Zul is geared well, major is solid, the pallies seem to now be our tanks so that wipes out alot of what is normally our healers, that leaves us with undergeared / inexperienced healers supporting undergeared / inexperienced tanks. This does not bode well.
My suggestion would be that we get properly prepared for Gruuls as there's no faster way to destroy what is currently so good enthusiasm within the guild than to run 25 people to their doom repeatedly. Besides if we nail Gruuls when we do go we can always hit up the next 25 man for more of a challenge :D
Some of the newer members in our guild have little raiding experience and those lessons are more easily learned in a 10 man environment than in a 25 man.

hmm good points there bash. I actually posted my reply b4 i realized the patch was being released this week.....

now that we have a new 10 man instance to learn, i recon we give up the Gruuls idea for a few weeks, and get Zul'Aman on farm, so we can gear up every1 and then we will have a better chance of 25 man success.

as for gear, i just keep assuming if ppl are coming to Kara, their gear must be ok....there is no point even thinking about kara if u are in greens and the odd blue. to be raiding kara u should have MOSTTLY lvl 70 blues(not hard to get from quests/heroics) , and one ro 2 greens is ok... and the next step up is the 25man raids. No1 should be thinking about these until their gear is good. by good i mean absolutly NO greens.(trinkets might be forgiven), and mostly BLue and purple gear.

and that is why we farm kara, so everyone has a chance to upgrade.

TBH, i am sick of seeing Karazhan, i was exalted with TVE b4 i came back to IV. there is very little gear left for my shaman (different story for my lock). but i wil stil come to kara to help out (and to get my main hand mace).

so lets give up the idea of gruuls for a while, until we are sure we are ready.

But ZA should solve most of your issues with tired old instances. Or we can get Gawk into kara :P

We just need to get the newbies engaged in all this. Elgoro & Arco & Gortire.

(oh and annebulance)

If we can gear up/train elgoro + arco + gortire (Anne is geared to the teeth atm) we're all set

erm ... Elgoro? Last time i looked we were not exactly dripping in locks. Seems a bit foolish to remove our best geared lock in order gain a healer.

for now yes wonju is one of our few locks. but soon enough Missagony and Gawk will be up there, tryin to top the DPS charts :)

And a bad healer at that. Also, wonju does useful things like reduce Princes damage by 5%, making her a very useful party member. I notice prince always goes easier when wonju is in the party. Or maybe that's wishful thinking.

In any case, elgoro isn't capable of healing curator, let alone prince. I was just tooling around on him for fun. I always expected to be on wonju past curator. However with the two teams coming up short I'm cool for running elgoro and wonju on different teams to make up numbers.
