Just a quick poll to determine how many of us are likely to be around over christmas. I'm taking a couple of weeks off work and after the relo bashing and drinking sessions are complete there's a fair to good chance ill be on WOW a fair bit.
The reason im asking as if there's enough of us lurking around it may be a decent time to organise some WOW festivities. Some old favourites like:
"A trip to Wetlands for Christmas boat ride"
"A few happy ales by a nice fireplace in one of the many Ally pubs"
"A wander in to new terrority of ZA"
"A sight seeing tour of one of the Ally's more significant (if there is such a thing) towns ... such as Stormwind"
"Guild Arena in STV ... Last man or woman (Cece ... was thinking of you here) standing "
Or any other stupid ideas people can think of to bring some love back to the family over the festive period. Hows about a first to lvl 5 competition with a 10g entry. |

hehe I like the first to level 5 competition, haven't done that before :)
I should be around for a few days around Xmas -- gonna try to get some time away from family + gf |

OK ... the first to level 5 competition ...
In order to defeat any cheating lil' bast ids out there i have few tricks up my sleeve. Lets just say it'll work like this ...
People will be asked to roll a new toon on a new server. The race will be chosen in advance to makes things simpler. People can choose whatever class they like ... providing the race permits. A guild shall be sorted in advance for every lil' noob to join :D That way we can manage who is what level and when they reached it. Nobody is allowed to leave the start point ... not to grab a quest, not to get the new zone xp reward etc. The time says go, and we're off. FIRST TO LVL 5. I have few more sneaky ideas up my sleeve to make it interesting but i am not telling you what they are at the moment.

lol ... yes first to lvl 5 sounds like fun, i'm assuming we would have to solo it? so no getting lvl 70s to run us around?
another idea for xmas fun ...
what about a game of Hide & Seek using a lvl 1 corpse?
A lvl 70 escorts a lvl 1 into some really fucked up area (eg SMV or in a cave somewhere or in an ally town) where they get killed in some savage & painful way.
At the start of the game we are all given the name of the corpse and which map they are on. First to find the corpse wins! Could be good for giggles :D |

OMG lol, keep the ideas coming for xmas games :)
Hide and seek? omg! imagine trying to find 1 little toon, on a map like SMV, or come to think of it, any of the maps!!! the idea sounds good but it could take til next xmas to find someone :) |

Hmm.. maybe first to level 5 seems too easy? Or is it? I haven't leveled up a new toon from scratch in ages, i guess we could make the reward proportional to how long it takes to level. Lets pick a day sometime around Xmas when people will most likely be online.
Boxing Day? Day after Boxing?
rofl - based on Serates idea, instead of using a level 1 horde, maybe what we could do is play hide and seek with a low level Ally...... |
