the GMOTD says we wil be entering ZA on this sunday the 20th, at 3pm. i just want to make a post here to see if every1 is going to show up. we will need all our most geared players to attend, it isnt kara after all... its just a bit tougher i think...

every1 who wants to attend, please read up on strats. i know u can read and read and read, yet stil not entirely know the pulls or the progress of the fights, but if u have a rough idea of what will be expected of u, then there will be no nasty suprises on the day.

http://www.bosskillers.com/cgi-bin/bbguild/index.cgi?action=dungeonpage&dungeonid=43

is a good place to start.

if we are going to make a serious attempt at ZA, we should all have pots, flasks, food, oils, and what ever other consumables u can use to improve our chances of sucess.

If i come as DPS, i dont want to see my name at the top of the DMG charts, an enhance shaman should be out DPS'd by all other pure DPS classes, and if that isnt happening, then someone isnt pulling their weight. the only way we will ever have a chance at ZA is if we pull together and work hard at it.

If u read this, reply and say if u can make it or not.

just another thing. special loot is unlocked when u beat the 20 min timer, which means u need to kill the boss within 20 mins of the 1st trash pull. while we are learning the fights, we should forget about this timer, because it wil just be another distraction. when we know we can kill the bosses in 1 shot, then we can make some serious attempts at getting the special chest.

Nice post Zul Smile

I've already mentioned to Major/Cec that I probably can't make the 20th - but I think that i'm the only one here who can't. What should be done is a kind of roll call on best geared/abled members who can make it. (I reckon at least of a good amount of purples in their spec of choice)

Defo - Shawne/Alec on tanking duty, Cece/Major or Zul on heals. From there, i guess it's a question of class composition. Este/Aster, Kaz, Milt have all topped dps meters before from memory, maybe Stella/Serate utility, I dunno who else would be up there, I haven't done a gear check lately.

Major/Cec should sort out tonight the 10 ppl who should be there @ 3pm Sunday - I wish I could do it, but I'm stuck in work hell Sad

Don't leave it till Sunday to work it out Confused

Well initially i wasn't going to be able to make it, but my schedule's changed its its game on!

I'll read up on the strats now, but class composition is very important.

Those stupid bear mounted trolls are freaking tough.

But we'll probably want 3 healers in there first hit out. Tree would be so handy in there, but he's busy Sad so instead we'll take our 3 best healers in i reckon.

Anyways DPS wise tree, we've a few options.
- Zul or Kaza puts out some serious hurt, though i'd only go 1 enhance shammie max. Zul's the only one to come close to my DPS recently (Alec is awesome too - but he's our tank)
- asterics/este/cecep are our top mages atm. I haven't seen blue/nosforatu in a flat out DPS race so i'm not sure. But both are solid. Sweetpetal ain't bad either! (burst wise, i haven't seen her in a prince fight yet)
- from what i remember khayoz/dark are both decent locks, not spectacular, but not bad either Smile hehe
- our warriors are fairly decent. I've run instances with milt/fluxx and both hold their own DPS wise. Very solid.
- our hunters seem a tad low, but their utility is unparalleled. Raptor + Wilbow have decent DPS and not too bad gear/trapping skillz
- we're missing rogues!!!!!!!!!!
- also missing boomkin Sad

Major, when you don't steal Kaz's stormstrike, I'm sure he'd be pushin you too :p

I don't know what the best class composition would be, having not read up on the fights, so I'll leave this up to you guys. I do know who generally tops dps meters from the Kara runs. And heal meters too.

Probably best healers are Zul, Cec, Major. next best, Anne/Smaxy/Gori. Although I think Smaxy would be better on dps on Serate, better gear + utility + buffs.

Dps toppers are: aster/este/milt/kaz, next tier are dark/sweet/stabbed/stella and possibly nos/squiggles/influxx/blue - they look good + geared enough, but I haven't run enough times with em to know.

Raptor is an unusual one - sometimes i've seen him top dps! other times, he's way down. Wilbs used to get good dps way back when also. Trap + kite utility might be good though.

Tanks - Shawne, Alec, maybe Slappy is a bit undergeared, but comes close i think.

Always ignoring my tanking gear :'(

500 def, 22% dodge/15% parry - 18k armour and 13khp unbuffed so eat me Razz

I'm easy with doing whatever (not sure if i'll make it sunday yet though :S). I'm mostly PVP geared to heal - but still substitutes nicely for PVE. Ret gear is (still) much better than Alecs Razz for pve (tee hee hee).

If need be, i'll even bring Cece down to lay down the hurt.

I dunno how far in he is, my ZA experience is limited to 1 boss :/

But if you have SR gear ... bring it. Basically get the +15 shadow resist on the cloak and get about 5 or so void spheres in one of your old sets. And shadow resist flasks. There's a boss that does AOE shadowbolts, they reeeeeeally hurt. On the same boss there's a snake dude so having a druid healer or DPS feral druid who can shift and keep the mofo slept the whole fight makes things a hell of alot easier. Without the SR sets its wipe city on that boss the dmg is simply too big for the healers to manage.

cece, i dont think anyone is ignoring your tanking gear/skillz, but more to the point ... we need healers... i think when we 1st start out in ZA, we should take 3 healers... or someone who can dps/OH.( not sure who can do this, prob mojo has the best chance with a ele/resto spec, his gear is UBER!!) and having healers of differnt classes will benefit us all. so we would prob have druid, pally, shaman healers. or.. we could have 2 shaman healers for double earth shield and leet mana tide ( we would never run out of mana). so i guess it is flexible with what classes we take in there, but we should play to our strengths.

let me know what spec u want me to be on sunday. and lets start a list of who is planning on coming, just so we can get organised early. i dont want to log on on sunday and fuk around trying to scrape enough ppl together.

u say we need shadow resist bash?? QQ, i guess we will take our ZA raiding 1 boss at a time. once we get used to the place, then we can look into what specific resist gear we need.
but i want to stress again, people need to either farm mats for flasks, and pots and food and oils etc.... or just buy em off the AH. theres no point going in there unprepared, or undergeared.

o and prepare to die many times. dont be discouraged when u see your gear all red!!!
