Seems we're reasonably happy with how the Suicide Kings looting system is going. So here are the rules that we're comfortable with so far. If something isnt working in future, lets have a chat about it and see how we can change it to better suit the guild Smile

Here's what i'd do as the Raid Leader.

1. Download the mod - http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/addons-2335-1-suicidekings.html

2. Download the Saved Queue Data - As of 10-02-2008

I will update this link whenever the queues change (after ZG). Additionally, when i'm not around, whoever has the Raid Leader for a run can host it somewhere and i'll edit this link to point to your file. Important to unzip the contents of this file in the correct WoW directory. This is:

%<location-of-WoW>%\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<my-account-name>\SavedVariables\

3. The rules of looting are as such. There are three types of items that we're interested in assigning: Raid items, Class items, and Voodoo-Idol items. For anything that is not in the above mentioned 3 groups, everyone in raid defaults to "Need" rolls.

A Voodoo-Idol item is: A Voodoo Doll, or, a BoP Idol. There are 3 lists: people who have Idols, people who have Dolls, people who have Both

A Class item is: Any BoP boss drop or BoE purple that has restricted use for a limited number of classes.

A Raid item is: Any BoP boss drop or BoE purple that has unrestricted use for any class.

4. Looting rules
When a Doll is found: First to /roll are those in the Idol list. If no one is in the Idol list, then the remainder of whoever is NOT in the Doll or the Both list, /roll for it. In the unlikely event that there is no one yet, then we might have to spawn a 2nd Doll queue. The person who wins the Doll gets placed in the Doll list, unless they also have an Idol, in which case they get placed in the Both list and removed from the Idol list.

When an Idol is found: First to /roll are those in the Doll list. If no one is in the Doll list, then the remainder of whoever is NOT in the Idol or the Both list, /roll for it. In the unlikely event that there is no one yet, then we might have to spawn a 2nd Idol list. The person who wins the Idol gets placed in the idol list, unless they also have an Doll, in which case they get placed in the Both list and removed from the Doll list.

When everyone in guild/raid is in the Both list, the lists are reset. To paraphrase the rules, when a Doll or Idol drops, "whoever's got the other one gets priority /roll, otherwise everyone who hasnt gotten an Idol/Doll yet gets to /roll".

Class item drops
Suicide Kings mod maintains the Class queues of people who are "in line" to recieve a Class item drop. When an item drops, the Raid Leader spams the Class queues for those eligible to use the Class item. If there's more than 1 class eligible, the people in each class who "need" the item and are the in the highest queue position /roll off with each other. For whoever wins it, the Raid Leader "Suicides" the person to the bottom of their Class queue.

Raid item drops
Suicide Kings mod maintains the Raid queue containing each and every person that has and is raiding with us in ZG. When a Raid item drops, the Raid leader spams the Raid queue out. Whoever "needs" and is in the highest queue position, gets the item. Upon winning it, the Raid Leader "Suicides" the person to the bottom of the Raid queue.

And most important looting rule to remember is: we're all mates here. We've known each other long enough to kick around, have a few laughs and smite some allies all to the tune of good fun. Lets hold onto that focus on enjoying the experience that it presents, and not worry so much about who gets what, but know that you'll get your turn soon, and whatever helps the guild, will help you anyhow Smile

Righty-o then. I've got the mod and list setup. Gimme a day or 2 to learn it and ill be right to go.

I would assume it doesnt auto-update between the mods? Meaning we will have to manually exchange data once they become out of sync? Might have to start dating them.

There is a sync facility I believe in the one of the recent downloads, but I believe it's more of a "merge 2 seperate lists into 1" for guilds that run 2 ZGs/AQs with different members in each.

We could date em, but not i'm sure i'd marry it.

Yeh, didn't think it would have a sync function. What we will have to do then is make a schedule of posting up the up-to-date data to the forum (maybe after every run?), so that if one person runs the raid one week, and is missing the next, we can still have an up to date listing.

Depends on how lonely you are at the time i guess Wink

When i'm not around, whoever has the Raid Leader for a run can host it somewhere and i'll edit the top link to point to your file. That you can always be sure the top link will always point to the most recent file.

Like that woman who married the dolphin, when I get to that stage, i'll let you all know!
