WTB HALP from IV Tank Nerds

(I rarely get to actually use my feral gear, but that aside...)

With the Darkmoon Faire in town (soon or now) I can finally cash in my furies deck for the Vengeance card (+51 stam, chance of holy damage on things that hit me).

This will bring me to 15k hp unbuffed in Bear Form.

Unfortunately it means I need to drop one of two existing trinks. Moroes Pocket Watch (leet dodge), or the Badge of Tenacity (leet armor).

IV tank nerds!!!! Which should I chuck in the bank?

If I drop the Badge:

HP: 15040
Armor: 27744
Dodge: 40.60%

If I drop the Watch:

HP: 15040
Armor: 29438
Dodge: 38.59%

All figures are prone to some calculation bugs in RAWR, but are pretty much right. Details in http://www.fast-files.com/getfile.aspx?file=13265.

The way i see it, id rather have the 1694 armor over the 2% dodge. Less reliant on luck. Its also quite good to e-peen that armor figure around. When/if I get either the T4 helm or shoulders, ill be over 30k armor.

Your thoughts?

P.S. Armory will probably still have me as resto.

I would say that you would be better off without the vengeance card trinket.

Bear tanks live through dodge and high AC - and althought its important to be able to take a hit - losing that much avoidance for a mere 500hp doesnt seem worth it. (whats that in bear like 750hp?).

The holy dmg proc won't help you that much anyway - leave the aoe tanking to the pallies.

I think with talents its worth 788hp, with my talents, in Bear form.

Its more about the stam for me, than the holy damage... Ideally i'd get the H MgT trink, but thats is a gawdawful instance, as you know.

I've been thinking that my 14k hp unbuffed without the trink is OK but could be improved. The extra stam (together with the high armor), will help me deal with the crushing blows that I'll take, and give the healers more opportunity to heal me seeing I have only 1 oh shiz button with a long CD.

I also am worried about being too rage starved if I go overboard on the dodge...

Your forgetting the 150 agi use of the badge - thats a whole lot of dodge (6%?).

Meh, unless your really low on HP, I doubt its worth it. Much easier and less expensive ways of raising your HP.

Yeah true. I havent really been getting any complaints lately (regarding any squishiness on my part), from healers. So will be OK for now I guess. I've always got stam or agi food to boost whatever is required for certain fights.

Ahhhh yes, I did forget the oh shiz buttons that the badge and the pocket watch provide me.

I might sell my furies deck then Razz

to fund a lowbie alt. And hope that one day, I'll get the H Mgt trink.

Multiply that offer by 10 and add a few hundred more for my trouble, lol.

I got lucky, the 7 of furies was never on the AH, then it dropped AND i won the roll for it in a heroic. I guess thats why I'm attached to it... but at the end of the day, there is much better... Good compromise is the Netherwing trink I guess, if I could be fkd grinding the rep.

We can do the Netherwing Dailes now Beef thanks to Tez and Drac so we should start the grind. I want the mount cos as much as you all worship my http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34061 I'd like one of those fancy netherwing mounts so I can sit on top of the AV battleground master and annoy the shit out of everyone.

For you it would be a double whammy as you'd get the mount and the trink.

Anyone know how long it actually takes to get to exalted?

I remember when Wil was grinding the rep. Didnt sound like a whole lot of fun, and involves doing dailies, which will limit your progression per day.

Those dailies are a royal pain too (especially as Resto). Would rather level my alt, as I dont care much for the mount.

EDIT: coz I can't spell 'whole'
