How many 'end games' has there been in WoW?

Interesting for the noobs amongst and probably even more a trip down memory lane for the old timers.

Interesting. I've sat through all of those patches/end-game marks, and haven't ever been close to "finishing" the game. I did raid Molten Core briefly for a short while (as a warrior off-tank), but it pretty quickly bored me to tears. 40 man raids, whilst seemingly cool, are an absolute bitch to get going. And think way back when there was no (a) Symbol marking, (b) Ready Checks. One particular pull in MC required about 4-5 tanks (I forget which). The conversation on TeamSpeak (hah! this was before Vent) was something like

"Ok ok TankA you're on this one here, TankB, on the far right one there, Tank C, you're on this close one here, and TankD you take the left close one. Tank E and F you just grab whichever ones haven't been tanked and keep them close together for the aoe".

"Is everyone here?"

*** 30 minutes later ***

"Ok pull"

I don't miss those times. Pretty soon after, I realised the games were meant to be played for fun.
